By creating an account or otherwise accessing HengGang ("the Service", "we", "us"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service ("Terms") and our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.
These Terms constitute a legally binding agreement between you and HengGang. We may update these Terms from time to time. We will notify you of material changes by email or by a prominent notice within the Service. Continued use after notice constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.
You must be at least 13 years old to create an account. By registering, you represent and warrant that you meet this age requirement. If you are between 13 and 18, you represent that your parent or legal guardian has reviewed and agreed to these Terms on your behalf.
We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If we become aware that a user is under 13, we will promptly delete their account and associated data.
You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials and for all activity that occurs under your account. Notify us immediately at heng.paul.55@gmail.com if you suspect unauthorized access.
You may not create accounts on behalf of others without authorization, or create multiple accounts to evade a suspension or ban.
You are solely responsible for all content you upload, post, tag, or transmit through the Service, including photos, text, family member information, and messages ("User Content"). By posting User Content, you represent that:
HengGang is a platform, not a publisher. We do not review User Content before it is posted and are not responsible for content posted by users. We reserve the right, but not the obligation, to remove content that violates these Terms.
Content License. By uploading content, you grant HengGang a limited, non-exclusive, royalty-free license to store, display, and deliver that content solely to operate the Service for you and users you have authorized. We do not claim ownership of your content. You may delete your content at any time, subject to retention obligations required by law.
This section governs the collection and use of biometric identifiers, including facial geometry derived from photos you upload. Please read it carefully.
The Service uses automated face detection to assist with photo tagging. When you enable this feature, facial geometry data (a "biometric identifier") may be extracted from uploaded photos.
You may withdraw biometric consent at any time by disabling face tagging in account settings or by contacting us at heng.paul.55@gmail.com. Withdrawal will trigger deletion of stored facial data within 30 days and will disable the face tagging feature for your account.
Our biometric data practices comply with the Illinois Biometric Information Privacy Act (BIPA) and applicable provisions of the California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA) and GDPR where applicable.
Family networks naturally include photos of children. If you upload or post any photo depicting a person under 18, you represent that:
You may not upload photos of minors that are exploitative, harmful, or sexually suggestive in any way. We will remove such content immediately upon report and may report it to law enforcement.

When you add a family member to your family tree, tag a person in a photo, or share information about another individual, you are providing data about a third party. By doing so, you represent that:

Consistent with the TAKE IT DOWN Act (enacted 2025) and our own policies, we will remove any nonconsensual intimate visual depiction — including authentic photos and AI-generated deepfakes — within 48 hours of receiving a valid removal request. To submit a request, email heng.paul.55@gmail.com with a description and any identifying information about the content.
To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, HengGang and its operators shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages — including loss of data, loss of privacy, reputational harm, or service interruption — arising from your use of the Service, even if we have been advised of the possibility of such damages.
Our total cumulative liability to you for any claim arising from or relating to the Service shall not exceed the greater of: (a) the amount you paid us in the 12 months preceding the claim, or (b) USD $100.
Some jurisdictions do not allow the exclusion or limitation of certain damages. In those jurisdictions, the above limitations apply to the fullest extent permitted by law.
The Service is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, either express or implied, including but not limited to implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, or non-infringement. We do not guarantee: uninterrupted or error-free operation; that content uploaded by users will be preserved indefinitely; or that the Service will be free of viruses or other harmful components.
You agree to indemnify, defend, and hold harmless HengGang and its operators from and against any claim, demand, loss, liability, or expense (including reasonable attorneys' fees) arising from:
We implement reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect your personal data against unauthorized access, loss, or disclosure. However, no internet transmission or storage system is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.
In the event of a data breach that materially affects your personal information, we will notify you by email within the timeframe required by applicable law (typically 72 hours under GDPR and within 30–45 days under most US state breach notification laws).
You may delete your account at any time by contacting us. We may suspend or terminate your account immediately, without prior notice, if we determine you have violated these Terms or applicable law. Upon termination, your right to use the Service ends immediately. We may retain certain data as required by law or for legitimate business purposes.
The Service is built on third-party infrastructure including Cloudflare (storage, compute), Google (OAuth authentication), and others. Your use of these third-party services is subject to their own terms and privacy policies. We are not responsible for the practices of third-party service providers.
These Terms are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the jurisdiction in which the operator resides, without regard to conflict of law principles. Any dispute arising under these Terms shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts in that jurisdiction.
